Hello! My name is Ms. B. Frazier, and I am your child’s new 3rd grade teacher! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a University of Georgia alumna (Dec. 08’) where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a major in Early Childhood Education. I am also an Armstrong State University alumna (Dec. 10’) where I graduated with honors and obtained my Masters in Education degree in Early Childhood Education. In May of 2020, I graduated with my Education Specialist degree in Elementary Education from Georgia Southern University. This fall I will begin my Educational Doctorate degree at Brenau University.
Honors and awards in teaching that I have received include being the 2015 Savannah Chatham County District Teacher of the Year, a Georgia Innovation in Teaching Award Winner, a Top 40 Distinguished Alumni for the University of Georgia, a 2015 Notable Alumni for Armstrong State University, serving on both Governor Nathan Deal's Teacher Advisory Committee as well as State Superintendent Richard Woods' Teacher Advisory Council, and being on the 2016 Fishman Prize for Superlative Classroom Practice Honor Roll. Most recently, I have had the honor of being filmed by Georgia Public Broadcasting to share my message for the teachers of Georgia through the Real Teachers, Real Voices Campaign. I also have earned Reading, Early Childhood Math, K-5 Math, Gifted, and Science endorsements. Most recently, I worked to complete the requirements for my ESOL endorsement and this fall I will complete the requirements for an endorsement in Online Teaching.
As an educational leader in our city and state, I value the many opportunities that I have to enrich classrooms, empower teachers, and strengthen instructional practices. I have great aspirations to do extraordinary things in education including being a teacher, author, activist, and a full time education innovator and facilitator for teachers, schools, and school districts. I am a confident and loving teacher who has been transforming lives through education for almost 13 years.
I am a native of Savannah, GA and a true Georgia Bulldog Fan! My hobbies include dancing, shopping, reading, cooking, and exploring new things. I love teaching and working with children. I believe without a doubt that it is what I am meant to do. My teaching philosophy is that passionate teaching inspires student success. In my classroom, every child matters and every child will receive the best education possible. I believe in all of my students, and I set high expectations for each and every one of them.
I consider it a great honor to be your child’s new teacher. The rest of this academic year is sure to be filled with many phenomenal memories and educational experiences. I believe in the total education experience for students in my classroom. As the parent, you are the most important aspect of that experience. With your help, I plan to mold your child into a dynamic and successful learner who is prepared to meet the challenges of the next level of learning.
Feel free to stop by the classroom to observe instruction or volunteer to help throughout the school day. Contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can easily be reached through the school at 912-395-6440, by email at Bynikini.Frazier@sccpss.com, or Class Dojo.
Here’s to a great new year of teaching, learning, and success!
-Ms. B. Frazier
