Thanksgiving STREAM Days!

Our class enjoys learning about science, technology, research, engineering, arts, and mathematics each day! We call these incredible subjects STREAM. STREAM challenges us to think critically, collaborate with others, and solve real world problems.

As a culminating task for our informational unit on Thanksgiving, our class participated in two fun Thanksgiving themed STREAM days! During the STREAM activities, we used the engineering design process to complete the tasks.

On Day 1, we were charged with the task of building a table for the Pilgrims using only 5 sheets of paper and 10cm of tape. Our success criteria was that the table had to hold a can of food.

On Day 2, we were charged with the task of building a ship for the Pilgrims that could float and hold "cargo." Our materials were foil, straws, clay, and paper.
